Goldendoodles are a combination of Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle, both very smart breeds, which also brings the advantage of not shedding or very little shedding.

Special thank you goes to:

  • Sherry Rupke from SwissRidge Kennels for her very special contribution to our program by donating one of her wonderful puppies. To ensure the highest potential for success, Sherry facilitated CWAC trainers to temperament test the litter of puppies and select the one with the temperament with highest potential for success. A wonderful female was chosen to be trained as a Mobility Assistance Dog.
  • Community Foundation of Ottawa for their wonderful support in sponsoring Beau, thus ensuring another individual in our community can benefit from the daily assistance and companionship of a CWAC Mobility Assistance Dog.

  • Beau's puppy raisers/fosters: Viola, Tara, Louise, Christine & Sylvie

Update September 2006: Beau has successfully gone through our program and recently certified as a mobility assistance k9 partner with Graham.
