Canines With a Cause would like to express sincere gratitude to Adobe Systems!
In case you don’t know, Adobe Systems is very philanthropic, enabling employees to participate in local community causes and improvement on various levels. Their innovative corporate responsibility program is setting the standard around the world!
Through their various programs, local Adobe employees volunteer for Canines With a Cause 4 times each year, Adobe matches donations through a payroll deduction plan, and the Adobe Foundation provides grants that are vital so we can continue ‘Saving Three Lives’.
Every dollar donated to Canines With a Cause enables us to continue our life changing and life saving programs. The shelter dogs we rescue get spayed or neutered, veterinarian care, quality food and lots of love so when matched with a veteran, they have the best chance for success.
Most of our program dogs begin training in our Pawsitive Healing Program where female inmates in the Utah Correctional system learn to train and handle the dogs who learn basic obedience and socialization. The women attend weekly classes held by our expert, professional canine trainers. In this program, the women learn valuable vocational and life skills to improve their integration back into the community.
We’ve all heard of PTSD and the debilitating effects is can have on the person with it, their family, friends and co-workers. Our military veterans are committing suicide at an alarming rate, with each veteran enrolled in our Pawsitive Partnership program we have the chance to turn that around. Funding allows us to provide professional dog trainers, training supplies and equipment, a modest indoor training room, public access outings and our support in the training partnership. Our veterans can train a dog to companion, assistance or service dog level with consistency and confidence to assure success.

Canines With a Cause Salt Lake City, Utah is a registered 501 (c)(3) Non Profit Organization Rescuing homeless and abandoned shelter dogs, training military Veterans with PTSD or other psychiatric disabilities to train their own service and assistance dogs and providing female prison inmates an opportunity to apply basic dog training skills to the dogs recently rescued.
