Utah Program

Canines With a Cause began as an Animal Assisted Therapy program of “Friends of Animals Utah”, an animal rescue organization in northern Utah. Based upon increasing demand for veteran assistance programs to help support Post Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury, CWAC became a separate organization in 2011 with a specific mission of rescuing and training shelter dogs to assist veterans with anxiety and other specific tasks as needed. What started as a small program to help rescue dogs and veterans, has expanded to include classes in all areas of Utah serviced by the VA Hospital including Washington County, Southern Idaho and Western Wyoming as well as Northern Nevada.
